    According to a press release sent out by Fresno Police on Sunday afternoon, officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of West Shields for a report of shots fired. Officers located four adult male shooting victims. All victims were transported to CRMC.   • Attempted Kidnapping

    Merced Police are investigating the attempted kidnapping of a 10-year-old girl in Merced . The girl told officers a man grabbed her as she was walking on Martin Luther King near west 18 th street . The girl said she was able to stomp on the man’s bare feet and ran away without being injured. The suspect is described as a Caucasian man in his 30s with a full beard.     The family of a Valley soldier is getting help this weekend after their son was wounded in Afghanistan . Staff Sgt. Christian Hughes was shot in both legs.   • Serve Fresno Day

    Saturday was “Serve Fresno Day,” which is the largest local volunteer project of its kind. The Community Food Bank was one of many different locations where volunteers helped out. Scores of volunteers packed up holiday food boxes for Thanksgiving. The Food Bank has had requests for more than 30,000 holiday food boxes, which is four times the number of requests they received last year. Full Story »

    An estimated 500 volunteers rolled up their sleeves Saturday afternoon, to help nine Fresno area charities. The event, "Serve Fresno Day," kicked off at Fresno's Fashion Fair Mall.   • Fresno Father Accused of Scalding Infant

    Jason Valencia, 28, Fresno was arrested Friday night, after allegedly scalding his seven-week-old daughter. The little girl is in serious condition with burns over 12 percent of her body. The infant had a bowel movement, and Valencia was attempting to clean the girl with extremely hot water.   • Fresno Fire to Pay Millions in Sexual Discrimination Suit

    The Fresno Fire Department will have to pay two and a half million dollars to a Fresno woman who claimed, she was sexually discriminated against. Michelle Maher was kicked out of the fire department in 2005 after she says, she complained about a hostile work environment. Full Story »

  • Homeless In Visalia Forced to Pack Up and Go
