Saturday was “Serve Fresno Day,” which is the largest local volunteer project of its kind. The Community Food Bank was one of many different locations where volunteers helped out. Scores of volunteers packed up holiday food boxes for Thanksgiving. Jason Valencia, 28, Fresno was arrested Friday night, after allegedly scalding his seven-week-old daughter. The little girl is in serious condition with burns over 12 percent of her body. The infant had a bowel movement, and Valencia was attempting to clean the girl with extremely hot water.
