Today a 14 year old boy accused of murdering his 4 year old neighbor, heads to court. Raul Castro will be arraigned on the charges on Tuesday, and will be tried as an adult, and faces 1st Degree Murder. The driver of a Cadillac Sedan is in police custody. Around 2:00am on Tuesday morning, she drove off of the Freeway 168 east bound off ramp and into an embankment. The Merced County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a weekend murder. A fight between rival motorcycle gang members broke out late Friday night, on the 400 block of 5th in Gustine. New this morning, an overnight pursuit in Fresno, which ended with a man in jail. Around 1:15 on Monday morning, police tried to pull over a car outside a liquor store at Olive and Delno in South West Fresno. The driver then took off with police in chase. More than 30 students from around the valley had something to be happy about this weekend. They were awarded scholarships from the Fresno Hispanic Scholarship Fund. At their annual banquet, scholarship winners at Fresno State received a thousand dollars and students at Fresno City College got $500.00 dollars. The Scholarship Fund is in its 20th year. A 15-year-old is recovering after he was shot in an apparent gang shooting. It happened around 10:30pm Friday night near Childs and N street in Merced. Two fifteen year-old boys were approached by five teens who walked up and asked which gang they were with. The victims said they didn't belong to a gang. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon for Army Specialist Lukas Hopper of Merced. The 20-year-old died last week in Iraq, when his humvee rolled over.   Lukas Hopper graduated from Golden Valley High School in Merced in 2007. Mothers from around the state came together in Fresno with one thing in common. They have lost a child or loved one to violence. They are called Mothers for Justice started by a Fresno mother, Nellie Carillo, who's son was killed seven years ago. An SUV hit and killed a pedestrian in Clovis on Saturday afternoon. The accident happened near Shaw and Helm at about 4:30pm . Police say the victim is a man in his late 40s or 50s. On Saturday, Convoy of Hope held a community event to pass out more than 160,000 pounds of food. But first, organizers needed hundreds of volunteers to help them do it. Honoring heroes through paintings. That is the goal of a Utah artist who visited the Valley on Friday. Kaziah Hancock is part of Project Compassion. The non-profit is dedicated to painting portraits of fallen service men and women and giving them to grieving relatives. The organization consists of five artists from all over. On Friday, the Merced County Health Department held its third H1N1 flu vaccine clinic of the week. Things moved quickly as workers set up three lines unlike previous clinics in Fresno where people waited for hours. Patients only had to wait about ten minutes. A suspected D.U.I. driver caused a two-car accident in Southeast Fresno on Friday night. Police say the driver of an SUV ran a stop sign at the intersection of Willow and Grant. He collided with a truck which overturned and hit a van. The SUV driver left the scene but was caught 12 blocks away. Officers say he was under the influence of alcohol. Enter the world of Dr. Seuss. A touring exhibit is on display at the Fresno Metropolitan Museum . It looks at the art and life of Theodore Geisel, more commonly known as Dr. Seuss. A Fresno man is accused of kidnapping and robbing his own father. 31-year-old Amin Thomas is facing serious charges, along with two accomplices, 21-year-old Reuben Boyd and 19-year-old Rick Williams.
