    The section of Interstate 5 through the Tehachapi Mountains reopened Tuesday morning after being closed for 16 hours due to snow and ice. The 30 mile stretch was closed around 5:30 a.m. Monday night. It forced hundreds to spend the night in their cars as they waited for the road to reopen.     A Fresno beef plant is recalling more than 20,000 pounds of ground beef because of concerns of possible salmonella contamination. The beef was only distributed in Arizona where two people have already gotten sick.     On Friday, a jury found Cantrell Ellis guilty of second degree murder for killing his estranged wife. She was stabbed to death. Cantrell Ellis will be sentenced January 5 th .   • Dave Hawk Sentenced to Life in Prison

    In the South Valley , a judge handed down a life sentence on Friday for a convicted killer. Dave Hawk was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
