    Doug Skubitz, former head of Kingsburg District Hospital, was killed Dec. 7 when his car was struck by a vehicle that ran a stop sign at a Highway 41 intersection in Lemoore, authorities said.   • Student charged in stabbing incident expelled from junior high

    The Kingsburg elementary school board voted unanimously on Dec. 7 to expel the 12-year-old boy accused of stabbing his female classmate in October. However, the boy's lawyers plan to ask a judge to overturn the decision. The boy's sister, Angela Rodriguez, said she was "very disappointed" by the board's decision.     The Kingsburg City Council passed an emergency ordinance Nov. 18 to keep medical marijuana dispensaries out of the city for now. Kingsburg City Manager Don Pauley said the city had received a request from someone wanting to apply for a business license to open a medical marijuana dispensary in Kingsburg.
