  • 33 State workers laid off due to budget cuts

    The Department of Administration says 33 government workers will be out of a job. Commissioner Mark Everson says the layoffs are needed because of the state's financial situation. He says the cuts will save the state $900,000 during the current fiscal year that ends in June. Indiana's state government has started laying off workers because of dwindling state revenues.
