  • Gunshots fired outside the Chug in Muncie

    MUNCIE, Ind. — Gunshots were fired into a bar near the Ball State University campus over the weekend as police said about 20 people were inside.   • Pendleton student dies of unknown causes

    PENDLETON -- A Pendleton Heights High School student who contracted the H1N1 virus, then appeared to recover, has died. The family of Tyler J. Hatheway confirmed the death Monday morning. Hatheway, a senior, suffered from asthma. Cooper's Sport Bowl in Anderson will hold a memorial service planned for today. A memorial service on Sunday reportedly attracted 300 people. Full Story »

  • City holiday schedule hinges on union contracts

    ANDERSON — City employees will get 14 paid holidays and two paid personal days in 2010, a policy that Board of Public Works member Mark Lamey said has been agreed upon through union contracts with the city.
