The West Nassau Historical Society conducted a mini-history tour recently, traveling to the Boggy Swamp Commissary on Musselwhite Road and Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Kings Ferry, where Deacon Aldophus Timmons and Ted Dinwiddie discussed the church, the exterior of the old wooden sanctuary building and the area’s families with society members. The Greater Nassau County Chamber of Commerce hosts "A Musical Christmas" parade Saturday at 11 a.m. An arts and crafts show will be at the land that belongs to VyStar Credit Union on U.S. 1 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The parade will NOT go down Mickler Street this year, instead returning on Booth Street due to an FDOT-mandated detour.
