Police are searching for a man they say tried to abduct a pregnant woman at knifepoint in Lexington. The incident happened Thursday at around noon at the Downtown Lexington Transit Center. A fire damages a Lexington home Friday afternoon. No one was in the home when the fire broke out. Firefighters were called to the scene around 2pm on Meadowthorpe Drive. An arrest warrant has been issued for the mayor of Mount Vernon after a grand jury indicted her on several charges earlier today. So far, state police have been unsuccessful in finding Mayor Clarice Kirby. One man is dead following a crash on US-27 Thursday night. Police say witnesses told them a car driven by 58-year-old John Lawson suddenly veered out of control and across three lanes of traffic colliding head-on with another car.
