Two sisters in their mid-thirties... one of whom is pregnant... say they were leaving their Lenney Drive apartment when three or four black men armed with a handgun forced them back inside. A Lexington driver is lucky to be alive after his car was nearly crushed between a semi and another car.  It happened around 5-30 on Newtown Pike. Police say the tractor-trailer rear ended one car... sending it crashing into another. OWENSBORO (AP) - Pope Benedict XVI has appointed Kentucky native William Francis Medley as bishop of the Dioceses of Owensboro. The diocese announced the appointment in a statement on Tuesday. Medley was born in Marion County and ordained to the priesthood in 1982. He served as associate pastor at the Cathedral of the Assumption in Louisville in the mid-1980s. A fugitive from Washington state who had been on the run for almost 20 years before his arrest in Lexington Monday won't fight extradition back to Washington. Patrick Sean McGowan, 62, was charged in February 1990 in Seattle, Washington with first-degree statutory rape and child molestation of his five-year-old daughter between August 1985 and September 1986. A Pulaski County man has entered a guilty plea to threatening a judge and a Commonwealth's attorney. Claude Cox, Jr., 43, entered the plea to retailiating against a participant in a legal process, terroristic threatening, and being a second-degree felony offender. Pleas Kavanaugh had told LEX 18 News that he would turn himself in to help police sort things out and see that he is innocent and has no connection to what happened. FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Gov. Steve Beshear is renewing his call for lawmakers to put a cap on the amount of interest payday lenders can charge customers.       Beshear called Tuesday for a limit of 36 percent on the interest charges that in some instances now exceed 400 percent on an annualized basis.       Beshear said thousands of Kentuckians who have fallen on hard times are turning to payday ... (AP) - A jury in Louisville has returned a guilty verdict against the driver in the July 2008 hit-and-run deaths of two young girls.       Kenielle Finch was found guilty Tuesday of two counts of murder and several other charges, including assault and fleeing from police.       The Courier-Journal reports that the jury will recommend a sentence for the 27-year-old Finch on Wednesday.       Finch ... A Lexington man was hospitalized after Police say he was shot in the leg. Investigators say two men knocked on the door of a house on Anniston Drive around 7:30 p.m, Monday. A semi-truck spilled around 200 gallons of diesel fuel on I-75 northbound early Tuesday morning.
