    Hemet police have launched a manhunt for three people authorities say fatally shot a Hemet teenager before disposing of his body in a backyard bonfire. A poster released Friday reads, "Wanted Armed Dangerous" for Jose "Joe" Campos, his girlfriend Felicia Sharp, both 17; and Rene Lopez-Fregozo, 21.   • Busy street, beaver don't mix

    A wayward beaver has met an untimely end, apparently run down by a car as it ambled on a Murrieta city street. The beaver, found on a densely-populated stretch of Murrieta Hot Springs Road early Thursday morning, appears to have recently re-colonized Warm Springs Creek flood channel, which runs through nearby Pond Park.   • Woman dies in head-on with two big-rigs

    A 69-year-old Fontana woman died last night after she crashed into two moving big-rigs in Ontario, Ontario police say. The wreck was reported at 5:43 p.m. Thursday along Jurupa Street west of Etiwanda Avenue. The victim's name has not been released. Her car veered out of control while traveling east. Full Story »

  • Man shot, killed in Highland IDd

    The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Office has identified the man who was found shot to death last night in Highland. Luis Miguel Mendoza, 23, of San Bernardino, was found at about 6:45 p.m. shot in the head in the 26000 block of Base Line, the department said in a news release. Full Story »

  • Man, 21, held in Corona death

    A West Covina man was jailed Thursday on suspicion of fatally stabbing his 15-year-old girlfriend's stepfather inside a Corona apartment. Brian Michael Aranda, 21, is being held at Robert Presley Detention Center in lieu of $1 million bail following his arrest in the death of Fernando Castillo. By Saturday night, almost all areas of the Inland region could begin to see substantial rainfall, with moderate rain falling by Sunday night, said Tina Stall, a meteorologist with the weather service's San Diego office.
