  • Couple face charges for child neglect, animal abuse

    Two Springville residents were arrested Wednesday afternoon for animal and child neglect when the Adams County Sheriff's Department found 193 animals on their property. Jesse Kolb, 33, and Tina Kolb 30, were charged with 10 counts of animal mistreatment and three counts of child neglect each, according to an Adams County Sheriff's Department press release.     The Wisconsin Dells Legislative Committee denied Walgreen’s a license to sell beer and wine. Cameron Birch, district manager of Walgreen’s, said the drugstore chain had sold liquor, beer and wine until the 1990s. Now customers were asking for it and the store wants to carry beer and wine.
