    The community is invited to a first-ever Christmas Festival at St. Patrick’s this weekend, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12 and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 13.   • Court appearance is pending for Gretna woman

    The pending court case for Carrie Kirlin, of Gretna, is in Douglas County district court and will probably be scheduled sometime in 2010, said Matt Kuhse, Douglas County Attorney. Kirlin, 39, is charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury accident from an accident that happened on Oct. 16. Full Story »

    The Sarpy/Cass Department of Health will have an H1N1 Vaccine clinic from 4:30 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 8 in the Gretna High School auxiliary gymnasium This clinic will be for target groups, which include children and youth from 6 months to 24 years old, parents and caregivers of children less than 6 months, health care workers, pregnant women and people ages 35 to 64 with chronic conditions ...     Gretna Neighbors started in the 1970s when a young wrestler got injured and the family needed help with the medical expenses. When the father of June (played by Emily Lawry) dies, she prays for a healer to come to their town, thinking that if her father had received medical attention, he perhaps wouldn’t have died.
