When the FDIC announced a bank failure in north St. Louis Friday, a piece of history was lost. Gateway Bank is now "Central Bank of Kansas City". Gateway was a 44 year old institution near the corner of Union and Natural Bridge. It was the first minority-owned bank in Missouri. Fallen Sergeant Christopher Cooper returned home Monday morning The soldier received full honors when his body was brought to Lambert Airport. Cooper was serving in Babil Province Iraq when he was killed. He first joined the Marine Corps in 2000. About a million Maclaren strollers sold by Target and Babies "R" Us are being recalled after 12 reports of children having their fingertips amputated by a hinge mechanism. The Consumer Product Safety Commission says the recall includes nine models of Chinese-made single and double umbrella Maclaren strollers, which have been sold around the country since 1999. Police in St. Louis are searching for several suspects they say are responsible for an early morning home invasion and shooting. Police tell FOX 2 News that around midnight the suspects broke into the home around DeTonty and Klemm in South St. Louis. The home is one unit of a two story brick duplex. Police have a suspect under arrest who is accused of gunning down 3 women inside a car parked at an East St. Louis gas pump on Saturday night. Police say the suspect was taken into custody in St. Louis City. They are not identifying him until charges are filed but say he knew the victims. It seemed to take a long while, but finally, the H1N1 vaccine is available to the public in St. Louis County. Several area high schools served as host sites for vaccine clinics on Saturday.
