A 70-year-old Utah woman has died after she was caught in a rip tide at Anini Beach on the island of Kauai. Kauai County Fire Department authorities said in a statement Thursday the unidentified woman from Manti, Utah, was snorkeling with her husband about 15 feet from the shore. Full Story »

Nevada has been ruled out as an alternative disposal site for low-level radioactive waste from South Carolina currently scheduled to come to Utah, a Department of Energy spokeswoman said Wednesday. Someone broke into public health offices in Logan and made away with 17 urine samples. The break-in happened early Monday morning at the Bear River Health Department.
