Authorities are searching for a 48-year-old Pleasanton man who failed to return from a solitary camping trip last week. Jay Lafontaine was expected to return home Dec. 2 and last spoke to his family via his cell phone on Nov. 27, the day he left for the trip, according to Pleasanton police. Full Story »

California officials plan to suspend new enrollments for a program that tests low-income women for breast cancer and to tighten eligibility standards when the program reopens.
