  Students from Washington High School had some of their photographic art on display last month at the Kansas City, Kan., Art Walk. The art students worked with local artist Steve Curtis. Curtis and his studio have worked with schools in the Kansas City, Kan., Public Schools District for a few years as a partnership to help promote art in the schools. Antwuan Taylor , a 15-year-old, was sentenced today in connection to a murder from April 2008. Taylor, who was tried as a juvenile, pleaded guilty in November to first deggree murder in connection to the murder of Charles McElroy. U.S. News and World Report is the latest magazine to honor Sumner Academy of Arts and Sciences as a top high school in the nation. Sealy Mattress, the largest bedding manufacturer in North America, will move its Wyandotte County location to 435 Riverpark next July. The move is the result of a newer and larger facility – about 20 percent more than its current location.
