    Three Oakland police patrol cars were damaged Tuesday afternoon in a vehicle pursuit that ended in the arrest of two armed suspects, police said. At 3:30 p.m., undercover officers spotted two male suspects believed to be armed in a vehicle in the 3200 block of Mandela Parkway. The undercover officers then asked for assistance from marked patrol vehicles, Officer J. Moore said. Full Story »

  • Inmate Dies In Custody At Mendocino County Jail

    Mendocino County jail officials are reporting that a 50-year-old inmate died in custody after being stabbed in a fight. Lt. John Bednar said in a statement that William Haley was being treated at a Ukiah hospital when he attacked a police officer investigating the stabbing.   • SF Supes Pass Expanded Tenant Protections

    San Francisco supervisors Tuesday passed legislation that would expand eviction protections for some residents.
