Repair Work On I-84 Bridge Causing Backups

State police say traffic has backed up in the westbound lanes of Interstate 84 approaching the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge, where crews are repairing a large pot hole. They say the line of traffic stretches about 4 miles from Beacon on the Dutchess County side of the bridge to Exit 13 at Fishkill.

    Authorities say an ambulance rushing a patient to a hospital has struck and killed a pedestrian in Brooklyn. Police Detective Marc Nell said the Emergency Medical Services vehicle hit the woman about 6 a.m. Tuesday on the Bay Parkway.

  • Subway Pervert Exposes Himself To NYC Teen 1 hour, 37 minutes ago

    Police in Queens have released a photo of a suspect accused of exposing himself on a subway train. Investigators say the man exposed himself to an 18-year-old girl early one morning eight days ago when he got on a Queens-bound G train at the Woodhaven Boulevard station. The victim on the nearly empty train managed to take the photo and then gave it to investigators.

    The Newburgh City Police Department is searching for missing 4-year-old Mark A. Bookal. The little boy was last seen at home by a caretaker around 1 p.m. on Monday, but a short time later the front door of the home was found open and the child has not been seen since. He was last seen wearing a red long-sleeve shirt, white Nike Uptown sneakers and gray Rokaware sweatpants.
