From all appearances a questionable practice at a North Texas bookstore was occurring again, but after a CBS 11 News investigation an ending with a twist was discovered.

Another North Texas school district is facing a financial fiasco, but unlike in the Dallas Independent School district, the superintendent there has been put on leave as a result.  Lancaster school officials made the decision during a meeting late Tuesday night, and a district-wide staff meeting was scheduled for Wednesday.

About 100 cats were seized from a southeast Dallas home Wednesday. They were found living without proper food, water or care. The Society For The Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and the Dallas County Constable seized the animals from a house on the 10,000 block of Chacota.

A former Grapevine police officer is under investigation for allegedly fondling a teen-age girl and serving her alcohol.  The officer, who has not been charged, voluntarily resigned in August after the allegations were made.
