On Friday evening a car turned onto South Congress from Academy when the driver lost control. The vehicle then hit a parked car and crashed into the Ace Cleaners on South Congress. There were no injuries reported. Police arrested the driver suspicion driving while intoxicated.

Accused Murderer Paul Devoe appeared in court on Friday for a pre-trial hearing. During the hearing, three witnesses testified including a man who spoke to Devoe over the phone when Devoe was in jail. That man says Devoe told him he killed his last victim in Pennsylvania because she would not stop screaming. Devoe's trial begins in September.
