    Bombs have exploded at the Ritz-Carlton and Marriott hotels in the Indonesian capital on Friday, ripping the facade off the Ritz. According Indonesian Security Minister Widodo Adi Sucipto, 9 people were killed in the impact and upwards of 50 people were injured. He said a New Zealander was killed in the explosion and that 13 other foreigners were among the injured.

  • Suspicious Device Was Forgotten Remainder From Recent Training Exercise Fri Jul 17 7:25am EDT

    The suspicious device that activated the St. Louis Police Bomb Squad early Friday morning turned out to be not so suspicious. Around 4:15am, a pipe with batteries attached to it was found by a driver on a bus at the Metro Maintenance facility near Forest Park. Using a robot, bomb crews removed the device and took is elsewhere to be destroyed.

    The search is on Friday morning in Jefferson County for a missing boater. Missouri Water Patrol is looking for a man that disappeared in the Mississippi River just south of Festus. Authorities say Junior Culp was boating with a friend Thursday afternoon on the river when bad weather moved into the area. The boat was reportedly having some kind of engine problems and stopped running.
