YAKIMA -- The Yakima Bears Baseball Club had a special guest last night. The possible future governor of our state, Dino Rossi graced Bears Stadium with his presence, throwing out the first pitch of the game. After all, he did play 9 years of baseball decades ago.

    YAKIMA -- Earlier this year randy sayler pleaded guilty to seven abuse charges. They include child molestation, child rape and voyeurism. Prosecutors say the crimes involved victims who slept over at Sayler's home, or on basketball trips out of town.

    Two Wapato brothers who were arrested yesterday for receiving marijuana in the mail, were in court today for the first time. Moses and Alfredo Carrillo accepted a 25-pound package from an undercover officer.

    BICKLETON -- The fire happened shortly after two this morning about 40 miles south-east of Yakima. Investigators think it was caused by natural gas and burned itself out fairly quickly.

Over the last decade trucks and traffic sharing First Street has created some major choke points. In 2005 the state legislature said enough is enough, to the tune of about 8.5 million dollars.

    As the cost of food continues to go up, Washington schools are now considring changes to the Child Nutrition Program. The program is designed to feed children of low income families while at school. In the school year of 2006-2007, Washington school districts received $113.5 million.

    SUNNYSIDE -- The Yakima County Coroner has identified a teenage girl found dead in a Sunnyside irrigation canal. It took almost three weeks to identify 17-year-old Jackie Abundez, a Sunnyside resident who had gone missing.

    QUINCY, WA -- It's the second largest fire burning in the state. Fire officials late Tuesday said an estimated 5,000 acres had burned. More than 200 residents were evacuated and sent to Quincy High School.
