'Look at This Instagram' Puts Modern Twist on Nickelback Song

Nickelback's 2005 hit song "Photograph" won't go away. The song re-emerged in an Rickroll-style Internet prank in June, and then it inspired the creation of a funny interactive website in October.

Now, College Humor is parodying the song in a music video dubbed "Look at This Instagram." Filled with original lyrics, the song pokes fun at Instagram users and their cliché photographs of inane crap.

But why use the Nickelback song instead of, say, Weezer's "Photograph" or Filter's "Take a Picture"?

Nickelback's "'Photograph' never really went away on the Internet -- it has a cult following, for better or for worse, so it's maintained a legacy online," Sam Reich, president of original content at CollegeHumor Media, tells Mashable. "Plus, we're still not over just how funny that song is."
