Louis Tomlinson Admits Having Lovechild Is ‘Intense’ As He Chases Grimmy’s X Factor Job

He’s been in one of the most scrutinised boybands in history.

But Louis Tomlinson has hinted fatherhood is even more of an emotional rollercoaster.

The One Direction singer, whose ex-lover last month gave birth to their son Freddie Reign, said: “Fatherhood is good. It’s intense. It’s really exciting. This is my first time away from Freddie so it’s tough.”

Louis, 24, last night picked up 1D’s Brit Award for Video Of The Year with bandmate Liam Payne after fellow group members Harry Styles and Niall Horan failed to turn up.

He added in an interview on the red carpet of the event at London’s O2 Arena before the ceremony: “If we win who gets their awards, we could sell them.”

Louis also admitted he is thinking of his next step after 1D announced they were taking a break.

He confirmed he wants to replace axed X Factor judge Nick Grimshaw on the show.

Louis and ex-panellist Louis Walsh are favourites for the role and the 1D singer said he is looking forward to the possibility of taking over from Radio 1’s Grimmy.

Speaking on the red carpet at the Brits – where Grimmy handed out an award – he told The Sun newspaper: “Of course, it’s really exciting.

“We’ve had no official conversation yet. But yeah, I mean, why wouldn’t I?”

Louis impressed Simon Cowell during the Judges’ Houses round last year and admitted he has “relentlessly nagged” the show boss about more involvement.

Louis and Liam said on stage when they collected their Best Video trophy for Drag Me Down they were “enjoying” their time off.

Hours earlier, Liam, 22, showed fans his bulging new six-pack on an Instagram post, below.

He added: “We’ve got a lot of time on our hands so I’ve got to do something. I can do 50 push-ups.”
