Magnitude 5.0 earthquake strikes western Japan, no tsunami warning

TOKYO (Reuters) - An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.0 hit the western Japanese island of Shikoku on Friday, but no tsunami warning was issued and there were no immediate reports of injury or damage. The earthquake, which was centered in Tokushima prefecture, had a depth of 10 km (6.2 miles), the Japan Meteorological Agency said. (Reporting by Elaine Lies; Editing by Chang-Ran Kim)
