Maher tells conservatives: Do not try to claim former Apple CEO Steve Jobs

At this juncture does it really make any difference? For certain, Steve Jobs no longer is concerned with such paltry matters...he now belongs to the ages.

Steve Jobs may not have been a right wing conservative, but I bet he made sure his tax accountant sure was.

All you political a$$holes go screw yourself. Jobs didn't aline himself with any political party, so quit trying to politicize him. Some people here will relate EVERYTHING back to a political party. Pathetic. These people are the problem...

Try to understand the difference between BEING successful and loathing taxes. You can be successful regardless of your politics.

The only claim I'll make is that he was the epitomy of how businesses should work. He was innovative and didn't ask for govt grants to get his company started. Good ideas find a market on their own.

We do know Apple is sitting on 75 Billion in the bank instead of investing their money in people. This Corporate activity is one of the complaints of Occupy Wall Street.

what ever he was he sure did like his 35 cents an hour times 16 -20 hour shifts over a 6 to 7 day work week did`nt he?

Eventually, more and more of steve job's life will come out and so nobody will want him except apple acolytes who would jump off a cliff at steve job's say so. Good grief.

I do admire Steve Jobs, but lets not be msitaken, he was a capitalist. He was not a marist who wanted to share his wealth and creativity. He was also a counter culture type who did not want to fit into corporate lifestyle. So Steve Jobs was a contradiction because he didn't fit into what the left wanted, but didn't fit into right. He was an individual. Which is what america is made of.

Strange...being rich doesn't save you from the worms...

I don't care what political affiliation any of these guys have. They are collectively the problem.

Also you guys cry and hate Maher, but love and applaud Beck and Limbaugh, double standard much?

It's a fact that Jobs gave to Democrats and was also a liberal. He sure didn't live it that way though. Sorry, he did. He hoarded his wealth. He even kept bonus money on an Atari project that Steve Wozniak did all the work on. He initially denied paternity of his eldest daughter as well. So, he had his faults as a human being. It's a fact that many creative people are liberals. I'm a designer, so I am around them all the time. Fact is, they aren't anymore better than anyone else, because when it comes to money they tell you what to do with yours, but won't practice what they preach with their own. Steve was good at what he did, which was marketing. He ran a company up, instead of down. But I don't see why any side needs to claim him. In the end he was a greedy corporate goon. And frankly, I like that. That's what capitalism is about. That's why he was a success. You can tell his personality, just by comparing him to the other three founders. Out of the three, Steve Wozniak was stand up guy. He had no agenda other than he loved technology. Steve Jobs was great at surrounding himself with people like Wozniak during his life. When Apple made a come back with Jobs at the helm, he became the face of Apple. So naturally, since nobody else got the spotlight, they think Jobs was the sole force behind the success. He was not. The problem is, you can't visualize anyone else being a factor because they were in the shadows.

Steve Jobs was not stupid enough to box himself into moronic labels like liberal and conservative.
