let's suppose Erica is having a affair with Bob.... they meet up and have sex... unless they are in a PUBLIC place, how in the world will anyone know what they are doing behind closed doors? In ISLAM, you need FOUR eye witnesses - who are HONEST and TRUSTWORTHY......
it means, four men have to have witnessed actual sexual intercourse, who are HONEST and TRUSTWORTHY.....
if it goes to trial..... their honesty, their trustworthiness has to be proven......
now let's say, Erica and Bob forgot to lock the door, and FOUR men, happen to walk right in, right before Bob is about to blow his load... okay......... the couple is doomed.........
how often do we expect that to happen??? in other case, THOSE FOUR men had to be sneaking around, and peeping into someone's PRIVATE quarters, to be able to see the sexual act take place.....
1. if they are peeping in, and before the sexual act takes place, the four men, had to see the couple undress......
2. according to Islamic law, if anyone is not covered properly, you are LOOK AWAY..... if anyone chooses to continue to look, they are committing a sin...........

there is a story of an adulterer that approached the prophet muhammed (peace be upon him)....

he was sitting at a place and a woman approached and she confessed to having extramarital affairs...... he turned away and did not look at her, she said it again, and he didn't respond, she said it the third time, and he said, okay, come back after certain number of days... she left and returned a few days later, and confessed to the adultry and also said, she was pregnant with the baby.... he said, okay, go ahead and have the baby, and then return....
she went back, had the baby and returned... he said, go and feed the baby until weaning time (approx. 2 years of age)... she did and she returned.....
there after, he ordered for her to be stoned to death......
when the people who stoned her to death, one of them said something negative about that woman.... and the prophet said... she is far better than the ones present here... she has been punished for her sins here.... she will not be held accountable for her sins in the hereafter
