Man, 82, arrested after wife fatally stabbed in Vaughan
A 72-year-old woman was fatally stabbed at her home in Vaughan this weekend.
Teresa Dias was found with life-threatening injuries at around 10 p.m. Saturday at her home near Highway 7 and Pine Valley Drive.
She died in hospital Sunday morning.
York Regional Police arrested her husband, Edmundo Dias, 82, at the scene and charged him with second-degree murder following her death.
The married couple did not live together.
Dias was also charged with assault with a weapon. A second man was assaulted in the incident but wasn't injured.
