Man charged in deaths of Iowa rep's sisters caught
PITTSBURGH (AP) — Pittsburgh police say a man charged with robbing and killing his former next-door neighbors who were sisters of an Iowa state lawmaker has turned himself in.
Allen Darell Wade faces numerous charges, including criminal homicide, robbery, theft and a firearms violation in the slayings of Susan Wolfe and Sarah Wolfe.
Wade had been questioned by police last month but released. He maintained then that he did nothing wrong.
Police Lt. Kevin Kraus said Wade turned himself into police headquarters Wednesday. They provided no other details on his surrender.
The two sisters of Rep. Mary Wolfe of Clinton, Iowa, were found dead Feb. 7 after police were called to their residence. Both women were found in the basement of the home they shared; each was shot once in the head.
