Beachgoer Filmed Dragging Shark From Sea To Take A Selfie

Just days after a baby dolphin died because it was paraded around a beach by selfie-taking tourists, a video has emerged of a man dragging a shark from the sea so he could pose with it.

The footage, which you can see above, was taken by WPTV journalist Ashleigh Walters.

It shows a man pulling a shark from the ocean – which is seen desperately trying to get back in – so he can be pictured with it.

In the video, which Walters uploaded to Facebook, the man can be seen holding down the shark after he successfully drags it onto the sand.

His friends – which include three other men and three women – then take pictures of him posing with it.

The animal was put back in the sea, but “did not resurface for several minutes”, according to Walters.

The incident occurred on Palm Beach in Florida. It comes days after a similar incident with a baby dolphin near Buenos Aires in Argentina.

A Franciscana dolphin was passed around between beach-goers as they posed for pictures. It eventually died.
