Man with Sir Mix-a-Lot’s old phone number keeps getting raunchy texts
The law student who ended up with Sir Mix-a-Lot’s old phone number discovered that “Baby Got Back” was the theme of his next several messages.

As the Seattle Times writes, law student Jonathan Nichols chose a new, local number in order to help with his job search. Soon afterward, a stranger texted him a YouTube video of someone making beats. Nichols told the guy he had the wrong number — but this was just the beginning.
Soon enough, Nichols was getting messages from luxury car dealerships asking for test-drives, texts offering backstage passes, and many, many photos of scantily-clad women.
But they weren't meant for Nichols, a self described "broke law student": They were all for a man named Anthony Ray. Tempted as he was, Nichols could not lie — and he politely turned each offer down.
Everything came to a head on Aug. 12, the day Nichols would learn was Ray's birthday. An explosion of birthday texts also contained a reference to "Baby Got Back," a crucial clue. Later that day, a trip to Google revealed that Anthony Ray, born Aug. 12, was none other than the famous Seattle-based rapper Sir Mix-a-Lot.
Nichols kept the number; it's a hell of a fun fact to deploy on job interviews.
When the Times told him about the mix-(a-lot-)up, Sir Mix-a-Lot thought the whole thing was hilarious. He gave Nichols two major warnings. The first: Don't answer "yes" to anyone, because they probably just want money. The second: If he gets any good pictures of women — with a "little in the middle, and if she’s got much back" — Mix humbly requests that Nichols "give them the new number."
