Man thrown out of strip bar charged with driving into pedestrians

A 23-year-old man is facing several charges after causing ruckus outside a strip club and running into several pedestrians with a vehicle.

According to Winnipeg Police the man was kicked out of Teasers Burlesque Palace in the 600 block of Archibald Street just before 1 a.m.

He then got into a Chevy Impala and rammed into a taxi cab parked in front of the establishment, police said. He proceeded to hit the cab a few more times before he took off.

The suspect returned twice more, each time hitting the taxi and once hitting the taxi driver standing near by.

The third time the man came back he drove the vehicle on the sidewalk hitting three other people, said police.

"This individual made some very poor choices," said Const. Jason Michalyshen. "Right now this individual is facing several charges with respect to his actions."

Police said they believe the man was impaired at the time of the incident.

"Thankfully some of the onlookers did assist with respect to restraining or holding on to this individual or perusing this individual until police arrival," said Michalyshen.

All of the people injured are in stable condition
