Mariah Carey’s Shoe Closet Will Give You Major Wardrobe Envy
Well, this might be a little too much for us on a Monday morning.
Millionaire songstress Mariah Carey has given us a sneak peek into her shoe wardrobe (yes, a wardrobe solely for shoes) and it’s all kinds of incredible.
The 45-year-old ‘Heartbreaker’ hitmaker shared a behind-the-scenes snap with her two million Instagram followers, revealing hundreds of pairs of heels.
A whole two shelving units are dedicated to gold strappy stilettos (you can never have too many, right, girls?) as well as leopard print, nude and embellished designs.
The bottom shelf revealed multiple pairs of knee-high boots in tan, suede and leather – while a plush pink chair is nestled next to the shelf, ready for Mariah’s ‘Cinderella’ moment.
It’s not the first time the singer, mum to four-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with ex-husband Nick Cannon, has given us a glimpse inside her luxe Manhattan apartment.
The Grammy-award winner famously appeared on an episode of MTV Cribs back in 2002, where she revealed her love for high-heeled stilettos.
‘This is the shoe room,’ she said as she walked the cameras through her closet.
‘The style that I favour would be a high stiletto, and the brand that I favour is whoever’s going to stick to that motif!’
‘The thing about my shoes is they always hurt. But hey, if they look good…’ she added.
However it appears Mariah’s infatuation with shoes is bittersweet, as there was once a time in her life where her mother could only afford to buy her one pair of shoes.
‘I saved those shoes but I can’t find them now. They were all destroyed,’ she explained in the episode.
And in an interview with Architectural Digest, she added they would fail to protect her from the New York chill as they were covered in holes.
‘They caused my feet hell in the cold winter months,’ she said.
