Maroon 5’s latest music video is a Pokemon Go parody, because of course it is

Although Pokemon Go might not be as huge as it was a few months ago, it's still one of the top grossing apps on iOS and Android and regularly finds its way into the headlines. Inspired by the game's success, the band Maroon 5 decided to dress up as ripoff Pokemon in the music video for their song "Don't Wanna Know."

Along with being extremely bizarre, the video is surprisingly funny and absolutely jam-packed with celebrity cameos. Ed Helms can be seen running from a group of children about a minute into the video, Sarah Silverman portrays Adam Levine's ex-girlfriend, and there's even an extended outro featuring Vince Vaughn as a Pokemon who's tired of running away.

If anything, I'm glad this video exists just so that we know what a Pokemon drinking out of a bottle of whiskey by a pool might look like, because I have a feeling that's not going to be part of the upcoming Pokemon Sun and Moon games.
