In arguably the most top-secret of the year, actress-turned-design Mary-Kate Olsen married Sarkozy in New York this weekend.

The bizarre couple (she’s a 29-year-old style icon and he’s a 46-year-old banker) reportedly tied the knot in an “intimate Manhattan ceremony” on Friday night, where guests were required to turn in their mobile phones – hence the lack of photos – and enjoyed “bowls and bowls filled with cigarettes… everyone smoked the whole night,” according to Page Six.

According to the newspaper’s sparse details (the Olsen twins are notoriously private, which isn’t surprising after their ultra-famous childhoods), the ceremony took place at a “private residence on 49th Street, between Second and Third avenues”.

It was an intimate gathering, with just 50 guests sipping on cocktails in “a rear garden” before eating dinner inside.

Presumably attendees included Olivier’s half brother, the former French president Nicolas Sarkozy, and Mary-Kate’s twin sister Ashley, whom she designs The Row collections with.

Prior to their nuptials, the couple had been dating since 2012 and got engaged in February last year. Sarkozy gave Olsen a massive vintage Cartier engagement ring – the perfect choice for the style-savvy blonde.

But it’s the fashion designer’s dress that we can’t wait to lay eyes on. We’ll let you know the second photos of it emerge… if they ever do.
