Massachusetts gas prices down 2 cents per gallon, yet remain above the national average

BOSTON (AP) -- Massachusetts gas prices continue to drop, but remain well above the national average.

AAA Southern New England reports Tuesday that its weekly survey found self-serve, regular selling for an average of $3.28 per gallon, 2 cents lower than last week.

The national average is $3.17 per gallon.

The in-state, per-gallon price is now a dime lower than a month ago and 33 cents lower than at the same time last year.

AAA found self-serve, regular selling for as low as $3.09 per gallon and as high as $3.55.
