Calbee’s Zeitaku Matcha (“Luxurious Matcha”) potato chips have hit shelves in Japan.

Matcha is finely-powdered Japanese green tea. We're not sure how well it would work with potatoes, but we're interested. The chips appear to be of a regular, salty potato base with a drizzle of chocolate and matcha on just one side.

Blogger Casey Baseel says his wife discovered these chips in a market and brought them home for him to try.

He wrote a review of the chip for Japanese site Rocket News 24.
