Marvel’s Inhumans Is Still Happening And HAS NOT Been Cancelled

Things have been a little confusing in recent times over Marvel’s ‘Inhumans’, namely whether it’s still being made or not.

And we’re glad to say that it is still on course, as it was confirmed last year.

The conflicting reports came when a rumour began to circulate that Kevin Feige was pulling ‘Inhumans’ from its release schedule.

However, HitFix has claimed they’ve spoken to an ‘unimpeachable source’ since, and it is actually still on the cards as originally planned.

The news comes after both ‘Black Panther’ and ‘Captain Marvel’ were rescheduled in favour of ‘Ant-Man and The Wasp’, leading to speculation that Feige and Disney were squaring off with the Marvel TV Studio’s faction and Isaac Perlmutter.

The TV side of Marvel is still controlled by Perlmutter, whereas Feige commands the cinema ventures. ‘Inhumans’ is strongly linked to the remaining Marvel Studios and is said to be weaved into the storyline of ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ over the next three years.

What’s more - and possible TV spoilers ahead - is that ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ is using an ‘Inhumans’ thread whereby Skye is transformed into one of them.

This was the alleged reason Feige was put off. Keeping the Marvel Cinematic Universe separate from the TV one, especially from Marvel Television Studio that isn’t affiliated with it, would cause issues with rights, ownership and overlap.

Word is there’s some content that is strictly “off-limits” to Marvel’s TV Studios, meaning Feige and co. are trying to keep things separate and, arguably, save the juicer content for the MCU.

‘Inhumans’ is (still) set for release in the UK on 12 July, 2019.
