MaxPreps 2014 California Volleyball All-State Teams

The MaxPreps 2014 California All-State Volleyball Teams.

The California State Volleyball Players of the Year range in size from 5-foot-4 to 6-foot-4 and include four seniors and one junior. What they all have in common, though, is that they are all MaxPreps All-Americans.

Let's get straight to the 2014 All-State Volleyball Teams, which are divided up by division.

MaxPreps 2014 California All-State Volleyball Teams

Division I
PLAYER OF THE YEAR
OH - Yaasmeen Bedart-Ghani, Redondo Union (Redondo Beach), 6-4 SR

Yaasmeen Bedart-Ghani, Redondo Union

Bedart-Ghani, who has committed to Texas, was California's Gatorade State Player of the Year winner after leading the Sea Hawks to a 39-2 record and the D-I state title. Bedart-Ghani was a finalist for MaxPreps National Player of the Year and a first team MaxPreps All-American, and slammed 483 kills while compiling a .538 kill percentage and .403 hitting percentage. Also an Under Armour First Team All-America selection as named by the American Volleyball Coaches Association, she added 163 digs, 82 blocks and 63 service aces in 2014. She was a sophomore at Marymount (Los Angeles) when the Sailors captured the 2012 D-I state title.

OH - Lindsey Ruddins, Aliso Niguel (Aliso Viejo), 6-2 SR
Ruddins, who has committed to UC Santa Barbara, led the Wolverines to a high national ranking and a 29-2 season, plus earned MaxPreps All-American honors. She averaged 5.4 kills per set and was among team leaders in digs, blocks and serving. She was the Orange County Register and CIF-SS D-1 Player of the Year.

OH - Alyse Ford, Mater Dei (Santa Ana), 5-9 SR

Lindsey Vander Weide, Pitman

Though she missed half of the season, Ford made her presence known in the final 60 sets when the Monarchs went 16-2, losing only to California state champion Redondo Union. The future USC Trojan was named a MaxPreps All-American and CIF-Southern Section co-Player of the Year after recording 5.4 kills (51 percent) and 166 digs.

OH - Lindsey Vander Weide, Pitman (Turlock), 6-3 SR
Vander Weide, who was a MaxPreps All-American, led the Pride to the Division I state title match and a 44-2 season. She totaled 471 kills (4.7), 92 percent serving, 260 digs and returned 333 serves. She has signed with Oregon.

OH - Devin Joos, Menlo-Atherton (Atherton), 6-1 SR
The PAL Bay's top player led Menlo-Atherton to the CIF-CCS D-I championship and to the NorCal D-I final, averaging a team-best 4.4 kills per set. Joos will play at UC Santa Barbara next season.

OH - Katherine Claybaugh, San Ramon Valley (Danville), 5-10 JR
A 2014 MaxPreps Preseason All-American, Claybaugh had an impressive year with 655 kills, 69 aces, 425 digs and 18 blocks, leading the Wolves to a CIF-NCS D-I runner-up finish and the NorCal semifinals.

OH - Savannah Rennie, Torrey Pines (San Diego), 6-1 SR
Rennie, who will attend Cal, was part of four league champion teams at Torrey Pines, including a 28-7 senior season in which she averaged 3.6 kills and served 90 percent.

OH - Kathryn Plummer, Aliso Niguel (Aliso Viejo), 6-4 JR
Plummer helped lead the Wolverines to the CIF-SS D-1A title. She had 244 kills, 34 aces, 123 digs and 472 assists. In the CIF-SS final against Santiago (Corona), Plummer had 23 kills, six blocks, 11 digs and 20 assists. She was named to the MaxPreps Underclass All-American team.

OH - Kayla Lund, Flintridge Sacred Heart (La Canada-Flintridge), 5-11 SO
Lund recorded 566 kills (5.5), 54 aces, 50 blocks and 245 digs and 397 serve receptions as Flintridge Sacred Heart went 28-7 and deep into the playoffs.

OH - Meghan McClure, Santa Margarita (Rancho Santa Margarita), 6-1 SO
McClure was the only sophomore named to the CIF-Southern Section D-1AA All-Section Team. She led the Eagles to a 27-7 season and a deep playoff run.

OH - Dora Beilin, Berkeley, 6-0 SR
Beilin was the WACC Foothill League Player of the Year and led the Yellowjackets with 473 kills and 255 digs, along with 284 aces and 26 assists.

MB - Lauren Cline, Stockdale (Bakersfield), 6-1 SR
Cline, who has signed with Pacific, was a dominant force at the net leading the Mustangs with 444 kills and 123 blocks. She was the SWYL MVP this season.

S - Jessie Prichard, Santiago (Corona), 5-7 JR
Prichard, who was a MaxPreps All-American, was among state leaders with 1,195 assists. She also tallied 63 aces, 61 kills and 53 blocks in helping Santiago go undefeated in the Big VIII League for the third-consecutive season. With Prichard leading the offense, the Sharks managed to reach the CIF-SS D-1A title match and advance to the state D-I regional semifinal round.

S - Heather Reed, Heritage (Brentwood), 5-7 SR
Reed was co-MVP of the BVAL, leading the Patriots to the CIF-NCS D-I semifinals. She made just 13 errors and had 717 assists.

S - Payton Chang, Mater Dei (Santa Ana), 5-10 SR
Chang had 220 kills, 36 total blocks, 288 digs and 681 assists as Mater Dei reached the SoCal finals. Chang is headed to Stanford.

S - Sophia Coffey, Flintridge Sacred Heart (La Canada-Flintridge), 5-8 SR

Susannah Muno, Notre Dame

Coffey, who is headed for Seton Hall, successfully handled the ball 1,175 times, committing only 20 errors. She had 30 aces and a 91.2 serving percentage.

A-A - Susannah Muno, Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks), 5-10 SR
Considered by many as the top all-around athlete in Southern California, Muno played libero, outside hitter and setter this season and was among team leaders in assists, digs, aces and blocks. She will attend UCLA.

A-A - Lo Utchen, Monte Vista (Danville), 5-7 SR
Utchen, a MaxPreps All-American and the East Bay Athletic League MVP, was a floor leader for 30-7 Monte Vista, finishing with 69 aces, 77 blocks, 213 digs and 946 assists.

A-A - Sarah Miller, Lakewood, 6-1 SR
Miller led Lakewood in digs (448), ranking second in aces (71), third in kills (284) and fourth in blocks (53) in a 33-3 season. She was named the Long Beach Press-Telegram's Player of the Year.

L - Noelle Pardo, Bakersfield, JR
In leading Bakersfield to a 29-12 record, Pardo was among the national leaders in digs with 1,178 for a 10.2 digs per set average. She also returned 710 serves with just 15 errors and aced 54 serves.


Division II
PLAYER OF THE YEAR
MB - Alexa Dreyer, Archbishop Mitty (San Jose), 6-4 SR

Alexa Dreyer, Archbishop Mitty

Named the top player in one of the toughest leagues either side of the Mississippi, Dreyer led Mitty to another state title with 286 kills (3.0), 26 aces (92 percent) and 61 blocks. Also named a MaxPreps All-American, Dreyer will attend UCLA.

MB - Jordyn Griggs, King (Riverside), 6-2 SR
Griggs helped the Wolves to an appearance in the section semifinals. She had 115 blocks (86 solo) and 281 kills while hitting at a .431 clip.

MB - Lindsey Calvin, Central Valley Christian (Visalia), 6-1 SR
Calvin, who has signed with St. Mary's, led CVC to its first D-II Central Section title. She hit a section-high .418 for the second year in a row with 356 kills, 84 blocks, 85 aces and 92 percent serving.

MH - Destiny Julye, Tehachapi, 5-11 SR
Headed to Washington, Julye was the Bakersfield Californian's Player of the Year after leading the Warriors to a 26-win season. A six-rotation player, she averaged 4.5 kills and two digs per set.

OH - Taylor Slover, Tulare Union, 6-2 SR

Erin Hamand, Paloma Valley

The East Yosemite League MVP, Slover finished with 422 kills (.368 percentage), 79 aces, 146 blocks and 304 digs. She is headed to Fresno State to continue her volleyball career.

OH - Erin Hamand, Paloma Valley (Menifee), 6-2 SR
Hamand led the Wildcats with 381 kills (5.3), 307 digs and also was the squad's leading serve receiver. Hamand, who has signed with Colorado School of Mines, set more than a dozen program records.

OH - Lexi Sun, Santa Fe Christian (Solana Beach), 6-2 SO
Sun was named to the San Diego Union Tribune's All-Area Team after averaging five kills and 3.5 digs per set. She was also named to the MaxPreps Underclass All-American team.

OH - Bailey Osborn, Redwood (Larkspur), 5-11 SR
Osborn, who has signed with San Diego, led Redwood to a 33-win season as she compiled 82 aces, 363 kills and 301 digs. She was the MCL MVP.

OH - Carmen Annevelink, Los Altos, 6-3 SR
Annevelink led the Eagles to a 34-7 record and deep playoff run with big numbers: 5.6 kills per set, 65 aces, 218 digs and 360 serve receptions. She will attend California.

OH - Veronica Nederend, Central Valley Christian (Visalia), 5-10 SR
Nederend, a six-rotation player, accumulated 370 kills, 32 blocks, 164 digs and serve received a 2.1 on her way to co-Conference Player of the Year honors with Calvin. A 93 percent server, she has signed with Loyola Marymount.

OH - Gretchen Cash, Bishop's (La Jolla), 6-0 SR
Cash played her best in big games as Bishop's won 32 matches.

OH - Lily Justine, Pleasant Valley (Chico), 5-10 JR
Justine was named the Northern Section's MVP after collecting 355 kills as the Vikings went 32-6.

S - Lauren Speckman, Archbishop Mitty (San Jose), 5-9 JR
A first-team all-WCAL selection, Speckman, a U.S. youth national team player last summer, averaged nearly six assists per set for a Mitty team that won CCS, Northern California and state D-II championships while finishing 37-3.

S - Kori Kutsch, South (Torrance), 5-8 SR
Kutsch, who earned MaxPreps All-American honors, was the quarterback on the state's No. 2 D-II team as she dished out 1,298 assists (11.6) and recorded 438 digs (4.0) and served 52 aces.

S - Joyce Christiansen-Salameh, Los Altos, 5-7 SR
Christiansen-Salameh was one of the state's most prolific setters, dishing out 1,233 assists (10.8) as Los Altos went 34-7 and deep into the postseason.

L - Sarah Johnson, Mayfield (Pasadena), 5-7 JR

Lexi Resch, Arcadia

Johnson led the co-Prep League champions in several categories. She led the Cubs in kills with 152 and in digs with 428. She averaged more than 23 digs per match. Johnson also led Mayfield with 38 aces.

A-A - Lexi Resch, Arcadia, 5-9 SR
Led by Resch, the Pasadena Star-News' Player of the Year, the Apaches advanced to the CIF-SS D-2A semifinals for the first time in more than a decade.

A-A - Kate Swanson, Bishop's (La Jolla), 5-10 SR
Swanson served 92 percent, and averaged 5.5 digs and 5.9 serve receptions per set, as Bishop's won 32 matches. She was an Under Armour First team All-American and will play at Yale.

A-A - Mary Lake, Palm Springs, 5-7 SR
Lake was named the D-2A Player of the Year after guiding the Indians to a CIF title and 26 wins as she assisted on 614 plays (6.7), 386 digs (4.1) and recorded 58 aces. She also averaged two kills per set.


Division III
PLAYER OF THE YEAR
A-A - Heidi Dyer, Saddleback Valley Christian (San Juan Capistrano), 6-2 SR

Heidi Dyer, Saddleback Valley Christian

Named the CIF-SS 3-A POY and a MaxPreps All-American, Dyer led the Warriors to the state title match and a 33-6 record. She averaged 3.1 kills, 2.9 digs and 5.1 assists per set. She also blocked 69 shots, served 50 aces (94.2 percent) and returned 286 serves with only five errors. She has signed with Pepperdine.

MH - Madison Murtagh, Sacred Heart Cathedral (San Francisco), 6-1 SR

Ronika Stone, Valley Christian

A first-team all-WCAL selection, Murtagh helped propel Sacred Heart Cathedral to the D-III state championship, averaging a team-leading three kills per set. Also one of the team's top blockers, Murtagh will play next season at USF.

MB - Ronika Stone, Valley Christian (San Jose), 6-3 JR
Stone put up big numbers against some of the west's top teams in leading VCHS to a 26-13 record. The MaxPreps All-American posted 575 kills (5.0), served 94 percent (47 aces), blocked 68 shots, averaged 2.4 digs and returned 269 serves.

MB - Kyra Rogers, Oakmont (Roseville), 6-0 SR
Rogers helped lead Oakmont to a 29-6 season and a 14-0 league mark by averaging four kills and almost four digs per match. She has signed with UCLA.

OH - Sasha Krnic, Monterey, SR
Krnic helped the Toreadors to a Pacific Division title and 23 wins, compiling a team-high 395 kills and 253 digs and 70 service aces.

OH - Kelley Wirth, Campolindo (Moraga), 6-0 SR
Wirth, a two-time DFAL MVP, had 648 kills, 37 blocks and 146 digs as the Cougars were 29-9. A MaxPreps All-American, Wirth will attend Yale.

OH - Tesa Oaks, Woodcrest Christian (Riverside), SO
Oaks finished with 417 kills (5.3) to help the Royals advance to the CIF-SS Division 3-A finals, the program's first appearance in a section title match. She also registered 317 digs and 62 blocks in helping the team win the Ambassador League title. Oaks was all-CIF in Division 3A.

OH - Brianna Karsseboom, Bishop O'Dowd (Oakland), 5-10 SR
Karsseboom had 228 kills, 25 blocks and 195 digs, helping the team to a WACC Foothill title, a spot in the NCS D-3 semifinals and a berth in the NorCal playoffs.

OH - Taylor Selfridge, Culver City, 5-10 SR
In being named to the CIF-SS 3A team, Selfridge led Culver City to a 27-win season by averaging nearly four kills and four digs per set.

OH - Rebekah Cervantes, Redwood (Visalia), 5-9 SR
The co-West Yosemite League MVP finished with 301 kills, 67 aces, 26 blocks and 357 digs to help lead the Rangers to their first WYL title since 2005.

OH - Delaney Swanson, Sonoma Valley (Sonoma), 5-11 SR
Swanson put up big numbers for a 29-win team with five kills and 4.5 digs per set. Swanson was league co-MVP with All-American teammate Mackenzie Albrecht.

OH - Pearl Escobar, Calexico, 5-9 JR
Escobar was among the state's top hitters with a 6.6 kill per set averager. And she hit nearly 50 percent. In leading Calexico to its first postseason in more than 30 years, Escobar had 70 aces.

S - Ally Wubben, Oakmont (Roseville), 5-10 SR
Wubben averaged 10 assists per set (1,118 on the season) and found time for 403 digs (2.8), 57 aces (93 percent) and 154 kills (1.4).

S - Blossom Sato, Santa Monica, SR
Sato was named the Ocean League's Most Outstanding Player and led the Vikings in most categories in their 17-11 season.

S - Mackenzie Albrecht, Sonoma Valley (Sonoma), 6-0 SR

Maddie Merlino, Rio Americano

A MaxPreps All-American, Albrecht was all over the court with 1,097 assists (11.8), 300 digs (3.2), 29 blocks, 65 aces and 81 kills as the Dragons went 29-4 and reached the state quarterfinals. She has signed with California.

S - Maddie Merlino, Rio Americano (Sacramento), 5-10 SR
Another outstanding setter from the Sacramento area, Merlino helped Rio win 30 matches with 70 aces, 381 digs and 1,154 assists (9.2 average).

L - Alexis Dirige, Sacred Heart Cathedral (San Francisco), 5-2 JR
A MaxPreps All-American, Dirige plays much bigger than 5-2 and recorded 612 digs (6.0), served 95.1 percent (33 aces) and returned 572 serves as Sacred Heart won the state title and finished 37-3.

L - Victoria Rodriguez, La Mirada, 5-3 SR
The All-Suburban League standout led the Matadors to 23 wins with 204 digs against just three digging errors. She averaged 2.9 per set and led the team in aces with 51. The senior did her best defensive work in the playoffs, racking up season-high dig totals of 21, 24 and 18 in the playoff run.

A-A - Halland McKenna, Sage Hill (Newport Beach), 5-7 SR
McKenna finished her sparkling four-year career with a program-record 1,552 kills and guided the Lightning to a 23-4 season and the state quarterfinals. The CIF-SS 3-AA POY and MaxPreps All-American, McKenna is headed to Stanford.

A-A - Ifeoma Ufondu, Quartz Hill, SR
Ufondu led the Rebels to a 28-2 season with team highs in kills and aces and was second in blocking and digs. She was chosen to the all-CIF SS D-3 team.

A-A - Khalia Jordan, Olympian (Chula Vista), 5-9 JR
Jordan averaged four kills, four returns and four digs per set as the Eagles won 24 times.


Division IV
PLAYER OF THE YEAR
L - Bailey Henington, Sonora, 5-4 SR

Bailey Henington, Sonora

A MaxPreps All-American, Hennington recorded 517 digs (5.0), 96 assists and 40 aces on 338 attempts in leading a balanced Sonora team to California's D-IV state title and a 37-5 season.

OH - Shannon Friend, Sonora, 6-0 SR

Emily Baptista, Hilmar

Friend compiled 309 kills in 777 attempts, 12 aces on 139 attempts and 103 digs to go along with 34 blocks in helping lead the Wildcats to a state title.

OH - Emily Baptista, Hilmar, 6-2 JR
It's easy to see why Hilmar won 38 matches when you look at Baptista's stats: state-leading 751 kills (6.2), 510 digs (4.2) and 98 service aces. Baptista was named to MaxPreps Underclass All-American team.

OH - Shreya Dixit, Harker (San Jose), 6-0 SR
The West Bay League's MVP, Dixit once again put up good numbers, averaging 5.1 kills and 3.8 digs, serving 97.4 percent, blocking 48 balls and taking 311 digs.

OH - Aeryn Owens, Alta Loma, 5-11 SR
The CIF-SS D-4 Player of the Year, Owens led Alta Loma to the state final match and a 36-3 season. She averaged 4.6 kills (52.7 percent) and 2.4 digs to go along with 65 blocks and 92 aces. She will attend Cal State Northridge.

OH - Peyton Shelburne, Cate (Carpinteria), 5-9 JR
Shelburne earned All-CIF honors as well as being named to the All-Presidio Sports team in leading the Rams to a 24-2 season and a deep playoff run.

OH - Kathy McKiernan, Duarte, 6-1 SR
The three-sport standout and all-CIF selectee, McKiernan was the catalyst in leading Duarte to the Montview League title. She averaged 5.1 kills and 6.6 digs on the season.

OH/MB - Tricia Brown, Big Bear (Big Bear City), 6-0 SR
Brown put up big numbers – 6.3 kills (543) and 2.1 blocks (183) – as Big Bear made the playoffs and went 21-8. The MaxPreps All-American also was a 96.5 percent server with 53 aces and returned 402 serves with only 20 errors.

MB - Devyn Cross, Desert (Edwards AFB), JR
Cross averaged two blocks and five kills en route to a 22-2 season.

MH/MB - Madison Pierce, Dos Palos, 6-2 SR
Pierce had 495 kills (5.1), 83 blocks and 45 aces as the Mustangs went unbeaten in league and won 24 matches. She was named to the Merced Sun-Star All-Area team.

MB - KiAnna Cunningham, Woodlake, 6-0 SR
The East Sequoia League MVP, Cunningham finished with 284 kills, 27 aces and 79 blocks. She helped lead the Tigers to a fourth-straight league championship.

MH - Morgan Hughes, Willows, 5-9 SR
The all-Northern Section standout averaged 4.6 kills, blocked 138 shots, served 72 aces and had 149 digs (all team highs) as the Honkers won 30 matches.

S - Kaylee Arthur, Carmel, 5-8 SR

Jayann DeHoog, Bakersfield Christian

A four-year starter and MTAL MVP, Arthur accumulated 2,668 career assists, including 950 this past fall (10.5). She also had 65 aces and served 279 points. Arthur finished her career with 803 digs and 271 kills.

S - Jayann DeHoog, Bakersfield Christian, 5-8 SR
A three-year starter, DeHoog led the Eagles to consecutive section titles and averaged 8.9 assists per set. She was named to the Bakersfield Californian All-Area team.

S - Jillian Saenz, St. Paul (Santa Fe Springs), 5-8 SR
The Swordsmen got 31 wins and Saenz had 73 aces, 304 digs (3.0) and 1,105 assists (10.9).

S - Lisa Morabe, Notre Dame (Belmont), 5-8 SR
The quarterback for the 35-win Tigers was four-year starter Morabe. She finished the season with an 11.5 assist per set average (944 in 82 sets).

S - Anita Henson, Yreka, 5-7 SR
Henson led Miners to a 23-win season with a 9.0 assist-per-set average. She was named first team all-Northern Section.

L - Shea Bertolucci, West Valley (Cottonwood), 5-7 SR
Among the state leaders in digs with 850 (8.6), Bertolucci also returned 461 serves and served 94 percent (60 aces) as the Eagles went 26-9. Named the Northern Athletic League's MVP, she was named all-Northern Section.

L - Julianna House, Carmel, 5-6 SR
A repeater on the Monterey Herald's All-County team, House recorded nearly 500 digs for the 27-4 Mission Trail Athletic League champions. A four-year starter, the team captain finished her career with 1,173 digs and 165 aces.


Division V
PLAYER OF THE YEAR
A-A - Jenn Wineholt, Parker (San Diego), 6-0 JR

Jenn Wineholt, Parker

Known for her leadership, Wineholt quarterbacked the Lancers to their third-straight state title and ninth overall. The MaxPreps All-American showed her versatility in the state title win with 28 assists and seven blocks. And in the semifinal match, she had 10 kills, 14 digs, six blocks and 30 assists. She has committed to Virginia. She was first team all-CIF San Diego Section as well as first team all-San Diego area.

OH - Grace Forren, Parker (San Diego), 5-11 SR
Forren was her best in big games – she averaged six kills per set during the playoffs as Parker won its third-straight D-V title.

OH - Kylie Brown, Santa Clarita Christian (Canyon Country), JR
Brown was named the CIF-SS D-5AA Player of the Year after Santa Clarita won the 5AA title. She finished the season with 445 kills, 222 digs and 72 aces.

OH - Kiana Krumm, La Sierra Academy (Riverside), 5-10 JR
Krumm hit 60.3 percent and averaged 4.6 kills in leading La Sierra to a 19-5 record. She also served 90 percent and committed just six service errors in 56 sets.

OH - Sarah Calabrese, St. Vincent de Paul (Petaluma), SO
The North Coast League's MVP, Calabrese led St. Vincent de Paul to the league title.

OH - Allyson Hughes, Big Valley Christian (Modesto), 6-0 SR

Rebecca Langowski, St. Joseph Notre Dame

Hughes served 93 percent (97 aces) and in 89 sets recorded 303 kills, 417 digs and blocked 26 shots en route to a league title.

OH - Rebecca Langowski, St. Joseph Notre Dame (Alameda), 5-8 SR
Langowski averaged better than four digs and four kills as the Pilots won 28 of 35 matches. She also committed just 28 errors on 489 serve receptions.

OH - Emily Cunanan, Notre Dame (Salinas), 5-8 SR
The Monterey Herald's MVP and co-Gavilan Division MVP, Cunanan led the Spirits to a Central Coast Section D-V title, finishing with a team-high 352 kills. A three-time member of the All-County Team, Cunanan also had 270 digs, 223 service points and 49 aces.

OH - Carrie Wentzel, Branson (Ross), 6-0 JR
Wentzel enjoyed a breakout year — hitting .338 for a team-high 509 kills, good for over four per set and at least eight in 38 of 42 matches as Branson won a D-V silver medal. She was named a MaxPreps All-American.

MB - Emily Curtin, Lake Arrowhead Christian (Twin Peaks), 5-10 SR
Named a MaxPreps All-American and the CIF-SS 5A POY, Curtin finished the season with 499 kills, 284 digs, 65 aces and 60 blocks. She was dominant during the team's playoff matches, racking up 135 kills for an average of 7.5 kills per set.

MB - Aliyah Morrison, North County Christian (Atascadero), 5-11 SR
Morrison compiled 400 kills (4.9), 82 aces, 57 blocks and only 10 errors on 310 serve receptions as the Crusaders won 22 matches.

MH - Hailey Kenyon, Vacaville Christian, 6-0 JR
A force on the net, Kenyon led Vacaville to a 25-11 record and unbeaten league season with 300 kills (3.0), 124 blocks (1.26), 57 aces and 213 digs (2.2).

Maddy Schoenberger, Branson

Chung averaged 9.1 assists to lead the Cougars to the playoffs and a 19-9 record. She also served 41 aces.

S - Maddy Schoenberger, Branson (Ross), 6-0 JR
A setter in 2013, Schoenberger was all over the court in 2014, collecting 160 kills (49.2 percent), serving 49 aces (94.7 percent), blocking 56 shots, recording 258 digs (2.5) and dishing out 756 assists (7.3) for the state runner-up Bulls (38-4).

S - Megan Gallion, Fall River (McArthur), 5-5 JR
Fall River got 65 aces, 65 kills, 267 digs (2.3) and 708 assists from Gallion as it won 24 matches.

L - Alyssa Rude, Liberty Christian (Redding), 5-7 JR
Rude averaged 6.8 digs and returned 453 serves. The all-Northern Section honoree also served 97.5 percent as Liberty was 20-8-1.

A-A - Kyra Wyman, Tarbut V' Torah (Irvine), SO
Wyman averaged 7.8 digs, had 63 aces and returned 276 serves as Tarbut V' Torah lost just once in 2014.

A-A - Ashley Cain, Mt. Shasta, 5-8 SR
The Shasta Cascade League MVP, Cain led the Bears to an unbeaten league season and 25-6 record with her all-around play.
