JSerra Catholic (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.) put together a dominating performance at the Boras Baseball Classic Southern California Tournament to jump six spots in this week's MaxPreps Xcellent 50 National Baseball Rankings.

With four wins at the Boras Classic, three of them by forfeit, JSerra Catholic moves up from No. 9 to No. 3 in this week's rankings. The only loss for the Lions was an extra-inning 1-0 defeat to Mosley at the National High School Invitational.

Meanwhile Olympia (Orlando, Fla.) and Park Vista (Lake Worth, Fla.) hold down the top two spots. Florida has one more week of regular season competition before postseason play begins with district tournaments.

A total of 11 teams enter the rankings this week, led by Staley (Kansas City, Mo.), which is 13-0 on the season. Staley enters the rankings at 21.

1. (last week 1) Olympia (Orlando, Fla.), 21-0
With just three games remaining, the Titans are closing in on an undefeated regular season. They picked up two more wins last week, beating West Orange twice, 3-2 and 6-2. The Titans needed 10 innings in the 3-2 victory with Kirk Sidwell driving in the winning run. Juan Hillman went seven innings and struck out seven, but did not get the decision. Michael Byrne went the distance in the second game, giving up two earned runs on six this with eight strikeouts. He also had a double at the plate.

2. (2) Park Vista (Lake Worth, Fla.), 22-1
The Cobras' win streak extended to 22 straight with three wins last week. Besides a 5-0 shutout win over Santaluces, Park Vista also topped American Heritage 10-3 and Coral Springs 8-5. Austin Smith got the win against Santaluces, striking out seven in five innings. Jordan Poore had a home run against American Heritage and drove in two runs against Coral Springs. Park Vista concludes the regular season this week with two games, including a key matchup with Flanagan.

3. (9) JSerra Catholic (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.), 13-1
The Lions dominated at the Boras Baseball Classic Southern California tournament, beating Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.), 5-0 in the championship game. The Lions also defeated Alemany (Mission Hills, Calif.) 5-0 in the semifinals, Great Oak (Temecula, Calif.) 10-1 in the second round and Granite Hills (El Cajon, Calif.), 4-0 in the opener. JSerra Catholic plays Mater Dei three times this week in league play.

4. (5) St. Rita (Chicago), 16-0
The Mustangs captured the Mingo Classic, beating Bishop O'Connell 10-2 in the championship game in South Carolina. St. Rita also picked up a 17-1 win over Logan (W.Va.), 13-1 over North Stanford (Va.), 11-1 over Bamberg-Ehrhardt (S.C.), and 11-2 over Georgetown (S.C.).

5. (6) Pearland (Texas), 21-1-1
The Oilers won their two district games last week, beating Pasadena 6-2 and South Houston 11-1. Tyler Kimball hit a home run and had three RBIs in the win over Pasadena while Caleb Maly drove in three wins against South Houston.

6. (10) Parkview (Lilburn, Ga.), 18-2
The Panthers avenged one of their losses with a 7-1 win over Brookwood (Snellville, Ga.). Parkview also won region games against Berkmar (Lilburn, Ga.) 11-2 and Central Gwinnett (Lawrenceville, Ga.), 14-4. Johnathan Whitmer and Austin Biggar both hit home runs against Central Gwinnett. Biggar also hit one out against Brookwood and had four RBIs.

7. (3) Sulphur (La.), 26-1
The Tornadoes lost their first game of the season with a 10-9 defeat at the hands of Lafayette. However Sulphur bounced back to beat Barbe 3-1 and Acadiana 1-0. Kale Breaux had 14 strikeouts in throwing a two-hitter against Acadiana. Austin Nelson had a home run in the fourth inning for Sulphur's only hit. Nelson also homered in the win over Barbe. He added two home runs, including a grand slam, with five RBIs in the loss to Lafayette.

8. (13) Dallas Jesuit (Dallas), 19-1-2
The Rangers won two more games in district play, beating Irving Nimitz 6-4 and 11-4. Darius Hill and Bryce Bonner both hit home runs in the first game while Grant Reuben and Jared Bond both hit one out in the second game.

9. (15) Hamilton (Chandler, Ariz.), 20-2
The Huskies sandwiched an impressive 6-1 win over Greenway (Phoenix) between a 7-5 win over Chandler (Ariz.) and an 8-5 win over Mountain Pointe (Phoenix).

10. (16) Oak Ridge (Conroe, Texas), 17-1
The War Eagles won a pair of district games, beating Summer Creek 10-0 and Kingwood 8-2. Tyler Hicks hit a home run and drove in three against Summer Creek while Luken Baker hit one out against Kingwood.

11. (17) Canyon del Oro (Tucson, Ariz.), 20-1
The Dorados posted double-figure run totals in all three wins last week, beating Vista Grande (Casa Grande) 10-4, Sunnyside (Tucson) 11-2 and Mountain View (Tucson) 10-1.

12. (8) College Park (Pleasant Hill, Calif.), 9-3
The Falcons won twice last week, including a 6-1 win over Boras Baseball Classic Northern California winner Saint Francis (Mountain View, Calif.), at the Saint Francis Elite Eight Tournament. College Park also defeated St. Mary's (Stockton, Calif.), but fell to California (San Ramon, Calif.) 4-0 in the championship game.

13. (18) Mosley (Lynn Haven, Fla.), 21-3
The Dolphins posted four wins last week, including a 7-4 victory over Pensacola Catholic. Mosley also defeated Daviess County (Owensboro, Ky.) 9-0, Hopkinsville (Ky.) 21-7 and Bay (Panama City, Fla.) 10-0.

14. (19) Farragut (Knoxville, Tenn.), 21-3
The Admirals won six games at the Scott Dean Memorial last week, defeating Bearden 2-1, Lenoir City 10-0, Daniel Boone 11-1, Dobyns Bennett 13-3, Hillgrove 3-1, and Holy Cross 11-2.

15. (20) Boca Raton (Fla.), 18-2
The Bobcats won twice last week, beating Boynton Beach 9-0 and Pope John Paul II 4-1. Mike Spooner had five RBIs against Boynton Beach.

16. (21) Summerville (S.C.), 14-2
Summerville won its only game of the week, beating Colleton County 15-3. Matt Powell went 2-for-2 with three RBIs in the win while Charlie Fessler had a double and three RBIs.

17. (23) Walsh Jesuit (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio), 5-0
The Warriors defeated Westlake 4-1 with Ty Shoaff striking out 12 in the win. Walsh Jesuit also defeated Western Reserve Academy 17-1 with Dominic Canzone hitting a home run. The Warriors also defeated Solon 15-0.

18. (22) Archbishop Moeller (Cincinnati), 7-1
The Crusaders suffered a 10-4 loss to Grosse Pointe South on April 6, but won four straight games at the Louisville Slugger Classic, including a 9-7 win over Greenbrier Christian in the championship game. Archbishop Moeller also defeated King's Ridge Christian 8-4, Marietta 8-4 and Sumrall 5-0.

19. (26) Puyallup (Wash.), 11-2
The Vikings won three times last week, beating Emerald Ridge (South Hill) 5-2, Bethel (Spanaway) 5-2 and Auburn Riverside (Auburn) 6-0.

20. (28) Charles Henderson (Troy, Ala.), 31-2
Charles Henderson picked up three wins last week, beating Rehobeth in all three games by scores of 14-1, 7-5 and 14-8.

21. (NR) Staley (Kansas City, Mo.), 13-0
Staley was ranked No. 2 in the last Missouri High School Baseball Coaches Association rankings, but defeated No. 1 Rock Bridge last week.

22. (4) Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas), 16-2
The Gaels played seven games last week, posting a 5-2 record. Bishop Gorman lost 7-4 to St. Francis (Watsonville, Calif.) and also lost to Vauxhall (Canada) 5-1. Among the wins were a 13-2 win over Shadow Ridge, a 26-1 win over Durango, a 7-0 win over North Shore Twins (Canada), 13-3 against Menlo (Calif.) and 12-2 over Carson (Nev.).

23. (32) Alexander (Laredo, Texas), 16-1
The Bulldogs captured two more district games last week, beating United South 5-0 and Eagle Pass 12-0.

24. (34) Flower Mound (Texas), 18-3
The Jaguars won a pair of district games last week, defeating Plano East 10-2 and McKinney Boyd 5-0.

25. (NR) Harvard-Westlake (Studio City, Calif.), 14-2
The Wolverines recently won the Perfect Game Springs Swing No. 3 tournament and also has wins over Agoura, the Hard 9 Classic tournament champion, and Alemany.

Agoura moved into the No. 28 spot this week.

26. (37) O'Connor (Helotes, Texas), 14-0-1
The Panthers won twice last week to remain undefeated on the season. O'Connor topped Taft (San Antonio) 21-2 and Marshall (San Antonio) 3-2.

27. (7) San Clemente (Calif.), 15-4
The Tritons had a rough time at the Boras Baseball Classic, going 1-3 in the event. After beating Chatsworth 3-1 in the opener, San Clemente lost 9-4 to Alemany (Mission Hills), 2-1 to Great Oak (Temecula) and 5-4 to Woodrow Wilson (Long Beach).

28. (NR) Agoura (Calif.), 15-2
Captured first place at the Hard 9 Classic with a win over IMG Academy.

29. (31) Edison (Huntington Beach, Calif.), 14-2
The Chargers were idle last week and will play Huntington Beach twice this week.

30. (33) Carroll (Corpus Christi, Texas), 13-1-1
The Tigers got home runs from Tyler Garcia and T.J. Kassner to beat South San Antonio 11-0 last week. Carroll also topped King (Corpus Christi, Texas) 11-10.

31. (35) Oxford (Miss.), 23-0
Oxford won six times last week, beating Reavis (Burbank, Ill.) 10-0, Collierville (Tenn.) 6-0, West Point (Miss.) 10-0 and 5-3, South Panola 15-4 and Olive Branch (Miss.) 10-4.

32. (36) Whitewater (Fayetteville, Ga.), 16-3
Whitewater won three games last week, beating Fayette County (Fayetteville, Ga.) by scores of 9-5, 4-1 and 14-3.

33. (40) Winter Haven (Fla.), 19-3
The Blue Devils beat Poinciana 9-2 and Lake Wales 2-1 and will have a key showdown with Haines City this week.

34. (41) Buchanan (Clovis, Calif.), 17-3
The Bears were idle last week and will return to action against Clovis East this week.

35. (42) College Station (Texas), 16-5-1
The Cougars won a pair of district games by shutout last week, beating Caney Creek (Conroe) 12-0 and Willis 5-0.

36. (45) South Caldwell (Hudson, N.C.), 15-0
South Caldwell won the Shelby Easter Tournament with a 6-0 win over South Point.

37. (46) Starr's Mill (Fayetteville, Ga.), 17-1
The Panthers were idle last week and will enter the final week of region play with a 13-game win streak.

38. (47) San Dimas (Calif.), 18-0
The Saints racked up four wins at the Don Lugo Tournament, beating Paul VI (Fairfax, Va.) 5-2, St. Laurence (Burbank, Ill.) 2-1, Maranatha (Pasadena, Calif.) 7-0, and Southlands Christian (Walnut, Calif.) 16-0.

39. (48) Rockledge (Fla.), 23-2
Rockledge defeated Cocoa (Fla.) 12-2, Bishop Kenny (Jacksonville, Fla.) 10-0 and Satellite (Satellite Beach, Fla.) 8-3.

40. (NR) Pleasant Grove (Utah), 12-0
The Vikings are the top-ranked team in Utah.

41. (NR) Reagan (San Antonio), 18-2
Ranked No. 7 in last week's Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association Class 6A rankings.

42. (NR) Brother Rice (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.), 8-0
Posted a double-header sweep of Grosse Point North to open season 8-0.

43. (NR) Cullman (Ala.), 34-6
Ranked No. 1 in Alabama Sports Writers Association Class 6A poll.

44. (NR) Mountain Brook (Birmingham, Ala.), 24-3
Ranked No. 1 in Alabama Sports Writers Association Class 7A poll.

Ranked No. 1 in the Mississippi Class 6A state rankings.

The Purple Bulldogs took on Missouri foe Lee's Summit West and dropped a 5-0 decision for their second loss of the season. Fayetteville also defeated Rogers 14-0 and 2-1. Grant Koch hit a home run in the shutout win while Andy Pagnozzi struck out eight in the 2-1 victory.

48. (14) Coppell (Texas), 13-3
The Cowboys split their two district games with Richland last week, winning 3-0 before falling 7-5.

49. (27) St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.), 16-4
The Raiders split their two games last week, beating Orangewood Christian (Maitland, Fla.) 5-1 and falling to Barron Collier (Naples, Fla.) 5-2.

50. (NR) Jackson Prep (Jackson, Miss.), 20-1
Ranked No. 1 in the MAIS state rankings.
