Dropping off: Jenrry Mejia (21st), Joe Nathan (30th), LaTroy Hawkins (37th), Neil Ramirez (40th), Jake Diekman (54th), Tommy Hunter (57th), Danny Farquhar (58th), Craig Stammen (62nd), Justin Grimm (63rd), Dominic Leone (69th)

o Holland (pectoral) is set to come off the disabled list on Tuesday and will go right back into the closer’s role, but given that his velocity was down some early, he doesn’t keep the top spot in the rankings here. I’m going with Kimbrel, who would seem to be the safest choice. Chapman deserves to be No. 1, but I still think he’s an injury risk.

o The Yankees haven’t tried playing matchups in the ninth, which might have been the original plan before Betances’s troubling spring handed Miller the closer’s role. Of course, it hasn’t mattered at all that Miller is facing exclusively righties in the ninth; neither pitcher has allowed a run this season. I do worry about Betances’s arm with all of the breaking balls he’s throwing, but then, I worried about it all last year, too.

o It doesn’t really sound like Ottavino (elbow, triceps) will return anytime soon, so Axford is the high Rockies pitcher on the list at No. 36. Betancourt could also factor into the closing mix if Axford slips, and Axford does often seem to slip. I think it’s a long shot that Hawkins will reemerge as the closer after returning from his biceps injury.
