McDonald’s has finally hopped on board the kale train, but it’s not exactly the most diet-friendly option on the menu.

The fast food chain recently rolled out a new line of salads with a blend of kale, baby spinach, and romaine lettuce that contains more calories, fat and sodium that a Big Mac does.

Before freaking out, though, let’s break it down by the numbers. The Premium Bacon Ranch Salad with Crispy Chicken comes in at 690 calories, 45 g of fat, and 1,530 mg of sodium. The Southwest Salad with Crispy Chicken has at 630 calories, 34 g of fat, and 1,090 calories (bump it up to 710 calories if you sub ranch dressing for the southwest dressing). Finally, the “Keep Calm, Caesar On” (currently only available in Canada) boasts 730 calories, 53 g of fat, and 1,400 mg of sodium.

While it shouldn’t be surprising that a bed of lettuce that is merely used as a vessel for fried chicken, cheese, bacon, fried bread and mayonnaise-based sauces is not a weight loss miracle, what is surprising is that a Big Mac — in all its double-decker burger glory — still comes in lower than these at only 540 calories, 28 g of fat, and 970 mg of sodium.

Which begs the question, why aren’t we all on the Big Mac diet? Eating 540 calories is totally reasonable! And if you add medium fries, it’s only…880 calories. Shoot. You gotta have fries with a Big Mac. That’s where they get you.

Moral of the story? If you’re gonna eat fast food, just go with the tried and true stuff. You’ll be happier and possibly a little lighter.
