LONDON — Do you ever go into McDonald's and wonder about the person behind the counter beyond stressing over whether they've put ketchup in your bag or taken the gherkins out of your burger?

Well one McDonald's worker, Mike Waite, has had enough of everyone's "judgmental criticism." He's taken to Facebook to say that there's more to people who work at the fast food chain than "can I take your order."

Waite, who works in Edinburgh, Scotland, makes it very clear in his post that after spending nearly 50 hours working at McDonald's every week, he understands what it's really like to work for the company.

He explains why he does the job and why others like him are currently working for the restaurant: "Why? Not because I have no aspiration, motivation or intelligence... but for the opposite... because in a few months time like a great number of people I work with I will be going back into higher education."

Waite who continuously praises the company for being flexible and providing staff with opportunities for growth, ends the post by asking people to rethink their preconceptions.

"I work with some amazing people," he says.
