MealThymes, a personal chef service, expands into the San Francisco Bay Area. The company specializes in dinner parties, special events, cooking classes, food & wine pairing and just about any other culinary event a client can hold in their own home.
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) August 23, 2011
MealThymes specialty is in-home events, including dinner parties, cooking classes, interactive cooking parties, intimate dinners for two, food and wine pairing, and just about any other culinary event a client can imagine. All menus and dishes are developed according to the client's personal tastes and dietary requirements. All food is sourced locally and prepared fresh on the day of the event. The majority of clients are busy professionals who want to enjoy good food with family and friends, but are too busy to prepare it themselves.
There are many reasons people choose a personal chef to provide service for their event: clients may want a special meal they cannot get at a restaurant; they may want to pair their meal with wines from their own cellar; or they may simply want to enjoy excellent food without feeling rushed. Whatever the reason, a personal chef can tailor the event and the food to each guest's personal tastes and desires. In addition, “many people have dietary restrictions that cannot easily be accommodated by restaurants,” Chef Lauren said. “Since I make each and every meal fresh for the client, I can adapt the ingredients to specific diets, such as gluten free, low sodium, etc.”
For the chef and her company, it's not just about business. Chef Lauren has been an active volunteer with Share our Strength and its outreach program Cooking Matters for several years. “Each and every one of us has a skill or talent we can use to help others. For me, it's cooking and teaching” she said. “I love being able to share my passion for good, healthy food with others and Cooking Matters gives me an opportunity to do just that.”
Since launching MealThymes in 2008, both the company and Chef Lauren have enjoyed great success.
