Metro Beaches Commission to hold hearing in Revere

REVERE, Mass. (AP) -- People who care about Revere Beach will get a chance to voice their concerns and suggest improvements at a scheduled public hearing.

Tuesday's hearing is part of a series that the Metropolitan Beaches Commission will host this summer for comments about the region's public beaches.

The state legislature formed the commission in 2006 to take a look at beaches that the Department of Conservation and Recreation manages in Nahant, Lynn, Revere, Winthrop, East Boston, South Boston, Dorchester, Quincy and Hull.

Tuesday's hearing will kick off at 6 p.m. at the Jack Satter House on Revere Beach Boulevard after a beach tour that begins an hour earlier at the bandstand at Beach Street and Revere Boulevard.
