With meals ranging from $9-$25, The Loon Cafe will be open Christmas Day from 8 a.m.-8 p.m., offering a special menu for this holiday meal. Chef Ray Hollingsworth and his team promise to offer "the best that Michigan has to offer" on their menus. Reservations are strongly urged.
1128 Washington Blvd., Detroit
The Detroit Free Press named this extension of well-known chef Michael Symon's restaurant empire "Restaurant of the Year," and the restaurant was noted as having one of the nation's best beer selections by Esquire Magazine. The bar will open at 4 p.m. on December 25, and dinner reservations for meals between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. are required. Limited seating is available, so one should act quickly to get a table reserved. Offering their standard menu on Christmas, Roast's entrees range from $25-$65.
3102 Van Horn Road, Trenton
Start a new Christmas Day dining tradition by sampling Hawaiian Island's Chinese fare with their combo plates ranging from $9-$11. Open Christmas Day from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. -- reservations are not required.
22812 Woodward Ave., Ferndale
Open Christmas Day from noon till "when they slow down," Como's is offering a Christmas Day buffet for $14.85 per person. Parties over six people will need to make reservations, and you may want to call before you head out if you are dining late in the evening.
100 Townsend St., Birmingham
This restaurant was given an Award of Excellence in 2010 by Wine Spectator and was named the "Best Restaurant in Michigan" by Zagat's Restaurant Guide. The Rugby Grille will be serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Christmas Day from 6:30 a.m.-10 p.m. They have already sold out their dinner seating for Christmas Day from the hours of 5 p.m.-9 p.m. Move quickly if you wish to make reservations here for your Christmas dinner.
