Mexico arrests alleged Zetas finance officer

MEXICO CITY (AP) — Mexican authorities say they have detained a man they identify as the No. 2 financial operator in the Zetas drug cartel.

Federal police say they captured Valdemar Quintanilla Soriano and another man on Tuesday in the northern state of Coahuila.

The authorities say Quintanilla has close ties with Zetas leaders Heriberto Lazcano and Miguel Angel Trevimo.

The Zetas are considered one of the most violent and prolific drug-trafficking organizations operating in Mexico. Their operations extend into Central America.

Some of the zetas were trained in the U.S.A. @ Fort Benning in the 90s. They quickly decided to abandon law and order, and to kill, maim, and mutilate their mexican brothers and sisters. They did this because ILLEGALLY selling ILLEGAL drugs is more important than the lives of their fellow mexicans. Charming!

It's partial true I saw that in a documentary on the history channel. I don't know if they were trained in Fort Bragg but they were trained by US militants

They were hired by U.S. Citizens to do this. Every single drug user in the U.S. that buys drugs on the street pays their wages.

Utterly clueless. Mexico's economy didn't tank, unemployment is down to around 5.5%, new factories are seemingly built every day, universal health care, I could go on and on.

Can the Mexican Government extract almost ALL( if not all) the info this poece of pond scum has and then quick-time execute this murdered.....all in the name of profits, which seem to be all he cared about. Now that would be poetic justice. These aren't human beings; the only thing they do is prey on the souls they destroy with drugs. Stop this #$%$ humanitarian exercise in justice and hang this acolyte of the devil.

I sometimes wonder, when I see some of these elegant, aristocratic old Spanish surnames, how the parents of these violent, brutal, murdering scumbags must feel about the way their sons turned out.

this is #$%$ these mexicans are animals and they should be treated as such, lets not forget the many innocent children whom lost their lives short along with their families, this is a war but too many government officials on both sides that have a financial interest in this mexican problem, or by now there would have been a war against mexico and its incompetent joke of a government whom are the cartels themselves, lets stop kidding ourselfs, attack the mexican pathetic government and see how quick the drug problem goes away,,,why hasn't America claimed mexico yet and turned it into a resort begets me.all the employees for the resort are already there.

The war on drugs will never end. The only way to end it is to get the users to quit. Yea, sure.......

Today in a news flash in Yahoo Mexico indicates that "El Vicentillo", one major drug dealer in Mexico, has confessed that the DEA has granted immunity to Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman one of the major drug dealers in Mexico, and recognized as the top drug dealer world wide and according to Forbes one of the 50th richest in the world, in exchange of information for his rival cartels. That makes you wonder, why the small one´s and not the top one are being captured. Think about it.

The Mexican government stated the following:

"Federal police say they captured Valdemar Quintanilla Soriano and another man on Tuesday in the northern state of Coahuila."

      Hog Wash.

The real News item reads like this:
"Federal police say they captured Felipe Calderón, the current President of Mexico, and another man on Tuesday in the northern state of Coahuila."
