If you're changing the tenor of your company, think big.
Make it seem as if your products can cure diseases, perform the impossible and generally make people happier than ungulates rolling around in mud.
This seems to be Microsoft's strategy in its new ad for the Surface 3 tablet.
The company is not merely going to promise that the Surface 3 is a very fine laptop-tablet hybrid. No, it's going to suggest that by having one in front you, major dental surgery without anesthetic can be yours. The equivalent, at least.
For here is Redmond claiming that its Surface 3 can actually make school fun.
There are the odd days, of course, when school is amusing. But that's why they're called odd days. School has many more even days, when even swallowing chewing gum once an hour seems more interesting.

It's uplifting, then, to see these children, mesmerized by all the different things they can do on their Surface 3, paying attention to their slightly glamorous teacher.
The kids are learning about plants' cells. They're the best behaved children I've ever seen in my life. This is something that every parent in the world wants to believe in.
I believe the children are our future. Teach them well, let them lead the way, but make sure you give them a Microsoft Surface 3.
