Aflac Inc. rose $.40 or .7 percent, to $58.17.
American International Group rose $.28 or .6 percent, to $45.42.
MBIA fell $.34 or 2.5 percent, to $13.43.
MGIC Investments Corp. rose $.03 or .5 percent, to $6.47.
MetLife fell $.60 or 1.3 percent, to $44.81.
