    Miley Cyrus' Home Swarmed By Police After Prank Kidnapping & Shooting Call

    Miley Cyrus was the subject of a hoax when police descended on her Los Angeles area home on Wednesday night after receiving a call that someone has been shot and kidnapped.

    "We responded to a call of a kidnapping in progress, one person shot, at an address on Amanda Drive," a North Hollywood Police Department spokesperson told "Good Morning America."

    Police descended on the star's residence with guns drawn, but determined it was a false alarm and no one was home.

    Authorities said the incident could be another "Swatting" prank, where a fake call is made in order to get the police (or a SWAT team) to bust down someone's door.

    "It's not just bad, it is a crime," a police officer told "GMA". "And if we find out who it is, we will arrest them and prosecute them."

    Early Thursday morning, Miley Tweeted, "i don't sleep".
